A Step-by-Step Guide for Operators and Traders
Under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), operators and traders placing relevant commodities on the market or exporting them must register on the official European Commission TRACES NT platform. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of accessing the platform, searching for your company, or registering a new operator profile.
Step 1: Authentication & Accessing TRACES NT
- Visit the official TRACES NT login page: https://eudr.webcloud.ec.europa.eu/tracesnt/login
- EU Login Requirement: You must log in using an EU Login account.
- Once logged in, if you do not have an active role assigned, you will see the Request authorisation welcome screen.
- Click on the "Operator" box to begin requesting access as a business entity.
Step 2: Search for an Existing Operator Profile
Before creating a new profile, the system requires you to verify whether your company is already registered in the TRACES NT database.
- On the Select an existing operator page, select your country from the Country drop-down menu (e.g., Bulgaria (BG)).
- Click the Search button. The system will display all registered entities matching your criteria.
- If your company is not listed, click the green "+ Create a new operator" button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Fill Out the New Operator Form
After clicking the creation button, you will be directed to the operator creation wizard.
- First, select your country in the Operator Details section on the left.
- Dynamic Fields: Once you select the country, additional dynamic fields (such as Region, City, Postal Code, Address, and Activity Details) will automatically load and appear.
- Fill in all required information:
- Review all entered details carefully.
- Click the blue "Create a new operator" button located at the top-right corner of the page to submit your request.
